About The Artist
Suyung Cho was born in Seoul, South Korea, and spent her elementary years in Michigan and Pennsylvania. The diverse scenery and wildlife of North America and a childhood spent reading from science books and fiction inspired her to express what she learned using visual art. After returning to Korea and attending university Suyung was introduced to animal glue painting, a form of traditional Korean art, which prompted her to explore and reinterpret the myths and symbolism of her birthplace.
Suyung had received her Bachelor of Fine Arts and Bachelor of English Language & Literature at Korea University. In 2020, she had illustrated the Korean translation for Seeds of Science, originally written by Mark Lynas.
Suyung now lives in Seoul, South Korea. She is currently working on personal projects, and owns a turtle.
